Your health and wellness are two of the most important things in life. Every thought, word, and behavior affects your well-being. Your mind, body and spirit all hold deep wisdom. Begin to transform your own health as you learn, trust and nourish your own wellness through a journey of self-care.
Shiatsu is a form of Eastern bodywork that honors the mind-body-spirit connection by treating holistically. Through practitioner stretching, applying acupressure to energy pathways, and increasing breath awareness, our life force or 'Qi', is brought back to a more harmonious state.
Aquatic Bodywork integrates the principles of Zen Shiatsu during a warm water floating experience utilizing movement, stretching, and pressure to promote relaxation, musculoskeletal decompression and nervous system regulation.
Corrective exercise uses the principles of anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics to address compensations and imbalances to improve overall quality of movement in everyday life. Benefits include decreased pain, stress, and risk of injury, as well as improving posture, and restoring balance in the body.
Mary LeSourd (Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, M.Ed.), a certified Twin Cities-based Zen Shiatsu Practitioner, Aquatic Bodyworker, and Corrective Exercise Specialist has accumulated on-going education and experience since 1993 in a variety of bodywork services, corrective exercise training, and healing practices. Mary provides customized Integrative Health Coaching sessions based on your individual needs.
Using the concept of a 'whole system' approach, Mary offers an initial assessments based on Five Element Theory of Chinese Medicine and a PAR-Q using postural observation and dynamic movement tools. She utilizes many years of exercise training and bodywork service to invite you on a journey of self-discovery, heightened awareness, and lifestyle change.
