Your health and wellness are two of the most important things in life. Every thought, word, and behavior affects your well-being. Your mind, body and spirit all hold deep wisdom. Begin to transform your own health as you learn, trust and nourish your own wellness through a journey of self-care.
Shiatsu is a form of Eastern bodywork that honors the mind-body-spirit connection by treating holistically. Through practitioner stretching, applying pressure to energy pathways, and increasing breath awareness, our life force or 'Qi', is brought back to a more harmonious state.
Corrective exercise uses the principles of anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics to address compensations and imbalances to improve overall quality of movement in everyday life. Benefits include decreased pain, stress, and risk of injury, as well as improving posture, and restoring balance in the body.
Mary LeSourd (TRS), a certified Twin Cities-based Shiatsu Practitioner and Corrective Exercise Specialist, has accumulated on-going education and experience since 1993 in a variety of bodywork services, personal training, and healing practices. Mary provides customized Integrative Health sessions based on your individual needs.
Using the concept of a 'whole system' approach, Mary offers an initial assessment based on the Five Element Theory of Chinese Medicine and utilizes many years of exercise training experience to invite you on a journey of self-discovery, heightened awareness, and lifestyle change.
Mary is currently practicing Zen Shiatsu at SuNu Wellness, a collaborative of practitioners dedicated to restorative healing. She also works at the Ridgedale YMCA, providing Corrective Exercise Training services.
Mary believes in the power of each individual to identify and transform challenges into a creation of their own healing path. With each session, and through lifestyle guidance, Mary encourages the embodiment of self-care and healthy living.
